I like the spaces around and between things...the positive and negative space of sculpted forms, provides an opportunitiy for the chance play of light and shade to produce something interesting.

Snape Maltings is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on the river Alde. The original 19th century buildings were used for malting local barley. When, in the 1960’s, it became no longer viable to malt barley, a local businessman used the buildings in his family grain business. The largest building was converted by Suffolk composer Benjamin Brtitten as a concert venue for the Aldeburgh Festival.

The grounds provide an interesting open air setting for the sculptures of Henry Moore..
